Top Rated Exhaust Hood Cleaning Services

A kitchen should always be clean, although we all know how difficult that is. Cooking equipment contributes to 61%  of fires in commercial food establishments. For example, a dirty kitchen hood and exhaust system can speed up the spread of fire in such facilities, potentially resulting in massive losses, injuries, and fatalities. Regular maintenance of the kitchen’s exhaust system by a qualified contractor can safeguard against fire hazards and improve the service life of your equipment. All the kitchen equipment you use is important, but exhaust fans are the most important ones because they will decide how fresh your kitchen environment is going to be. Not only the kitchen but even the air of other parts of the facility are influenced by the quality of the exhaust fan you have inside your kitchen. The fumes and smell that releases during cooking create a suffocating environment, which is not healthy. That’s why cleaning the exhaust fan is vital for proper air circulation. Southeast Hood Cleaning Atlanta makes sure that your exhaust fan works perfectly so the air inside of your facility stays fresh all the time.

High-quality appliances and chemicals

We know how important it is to stand up to the trust our customers show us. That’s why we try our best to use only those tools and chemicals that are made of high-quality materials. All kitchens are different, so we do a proper inspection of the type of exhaust fan used to get a clear idea of what kind of chemicals should be used.

If you have not cleaned your kitchen exhaust in a long while, have a professional contractor clean the components to bare metal standards. To expose the underlying shiny metal surface of your kitchen’s exhaust system, the contractor needs to use powerful pressure washing methods and cleaning detergents. You can expect this level of service from us.

Exhaust Fan Cleaning Process

  • If your exhaust fan has a mesh filter, then we will remove them to pour boiling water into it to kill the bacteria and other dust particles.
  • Then we will remove the mesh from the soaking solution to scrub the solution around the mesh. This way we will ensure that the filter is cleaned properly, and now we will focus on the blades.
  • We mostly use sodium phosphate cleaner for cleaning blades, but if the situation needs a different cleaner, then we will be equipped with that as well.
  • If the fan blades are not that dirty, then they can be easily cleaned with just a mix of water and soap. But if it needs a deep cleaning, then we will add 1/4 ammonia, 2 tbsp baking soda, and will mix it with hot water for proper cleansing.
  • We will perform the procedure with full precaution. We will use a cotton cloth to scrub the exhaust fan blades and then the rest of the body.
  • The removal of grease requires time but the task is not impossible. The breakage of the grease is important for proper airflow. To break down the grease we use caustic chemicals, which have proved to be effective for the task. After the chemicals are applied, we will wash them with hot water to remove the residue. We will be extra careful when applying the chemicals, and to make sure that the chemicals don’t spread away to different areas we use a sprayer, downstream injection, or a chemical foamer.
  • We use scrapers where the grease build-up is too heavy or is hard to remove. We will clean the fan inside out with a clean cloth to make sure that no traces of dirt are left behind.
  • If any part of the fan is wet, we will dry it with paper towels before tidying up the work.
